Windy Pass

Windy Pass

Roof City

Roof City

Photoshop, two days of work.

Empty Dock

Empty Dock

Speed painting with Alchemy and PS.

Mist Village

Mist Village

Midnight speedpaint. I had a mood for a Whistlerish type of painting. It’s a Village in Poggio di Venaco, Corsica. I used this as a reference.

Gray Man

Gray Man

Speed paint before going to bed. Photoshop, no reference used.

Lofty

Lofty

I used this as a reference. I tweaked the anatomy a bit. This image on DeviantArt: [link]

Data Flow

Data Flow

Speed painting depicting a man keeping track of the data flow. I decided to try and paint more without reference. Photoshop and two brushes, one with hard edge, one with soft.

Old Shibuya II

Old Shibuya II

Same process, as Shibuya I. In fact they were one piece most of the time, but in the end I decided to split it in two.

Old Shibuya I

Old Shibuya I

Combining matte painting with speed painting. It’s Tokyo mixed with Venice. The process for this image is as follows: first photo manipulation, combining pictures (about five I suppose), then simulating light and reflections, then filters, and then over painting existing image and adding some stuff, like the cafe interior.

Misty Kanazawa

Misty Kanazawa

Failed speedpainting before going to bed.

Sad Shanghai

Sad Shanghai

A mix between speed painting and matte painting. Done in PS using custom brushes.

Sky Boat

Sky Boat

A remake of my old work from 2005.

Rain Girl

Rain Girl

What to say… I like the way lower posters came out.. most of the colours, the background, lighting and some of the anatomy is improvised.

Hacked

Hacked

PS, mostly standard brush, original res 2986 x 5000

Confrontation

Confrontation

Speed paint, no reference, textures from [link] 2,5h.

To constrain movement/scaling to two axes, simply shift-click the third axis, the one that is sheer to the desired transformation plane.

To do that without the manipulator [...]

  • Set Draw Mode on multiple objects in Blender

I struggled with this for a while now, and couldn’t find the solution anywhere. As you probably know selecting multiple objects and setting draw mode will only set it for the active one. The solution is to use Copy Attributes. Set one object and set the draw mode you want, then select multiple objects. Your [...]
